Welcome to the Department of Public Safety information site. The Department of Public Safety evolved as a means to heighten the awareness and visibility of safety and security programs, and to foster a higher level of service to faculty, staff, and students on the Newark Campus.
The Department of Public Safety is a service organization responsible for the oversight of life safety responses, the University Police Department, Security Division, Key Shop, Transportation Services, Shuttle Bus Transportation and the introduction of a coordinated, campus-wide card access program.
